Alhamdullillah, I am grateful to be able to embrace the ibadah for another year. Fasting month is the most meaningful month for me.
True fasting is self-purification; and from this, a rich inner life that bring about values such as justice, generosity, patience, kindness, forgiveness, mercy and empathy.
As a mom the most challenging was to encourage Arissa and Syamil to fast, Alhamdullillah that they have started fasting at age 5 years old without much fuss. Maybe a bit difficult to wake them up during sahur, or the last hour they might be a bit weak, for the first week. Once the body get used and adjusted to it, the second week becoming much easier for both of them.
May I had a moderate way of life from every aspects during Ramadhan. As I always reminding myself that fasting of the stomach must be matched by the fasting of the limbs. The eyes, ears, tongue, hands and feet all have their respective fasts to undergo.True fasting is self-purification; and from this, a rich inner life that bring about values such as justice, generosity, patience, kindness, forgiveness, mercy and empathy.
May all of us have a blessed Ramadhan.
I had potluck lunch at my place today, just a simple one. Invited few closest friends, just to eat, chat and having coffee. Closest friend I found throughout my life journey, that been there for me during all this year, not only to witness my happiness, success but also my down. Apart of them there are many others too, wonderful person I've met. As always I feel really blessed:)
