happy monday:)
Hello all, how was your weekends? I had a good time involved in Hari Belia 2011 at Putra Jaya. It's been such a long 3 days to me... kind of flat and I am hoping to lay down all day long to recover. It was a nice experience with lots of crowds, a very good exposure to me. Thanks to whoever that came, giving me continuos support. You know who you are...mmmuaahhh:)
In between Lorong Seni there are a stage where live performance are all day long to night..and I have been fed with various types of music, from Jazz to Rock by many talented independent artist that I never realise of their existance before. The music still lingering in my head till now...
Many peoples have make an enquiry on my upcoming book binding workshop. I have add on additional info http://little-syam.blogspot.com/p/book-binding-workshop.html on the venue detail.
I am not a poet and not an expressive type of person but I dedicate this poem to one Uncle that helped me three night ago.
Terlalu banyaknya kejadian berlaku kebelakangan ini,
hingga kerap aku mempersoalkan, apakah kebaikan yang telah aku lakukan?
Kau datang menghulurkan bantuan waktu tengah malam
sedikit ganjil tetapi aku tidak merasakan kejanggalan
Uncle Cina mengutip sampah, memakai seluar pendek compang camping
penuh keikhlasan...menolong menyumbat barang...
setelah kerja kau lakukan, kau mengangkat tangan
tidak mengharap duit upah belas ehsan..
hati tersentuh, dalam kesusahanmu aku cemburu kerna riak gembira di muka mu tiada tandingan.
Hanya domino piza sejuk makan malam dapat aku hulurkan
terima kasih Pakcik...
Kau adalah antara bidadari
yang sentiasa membantuku
yang memudahkan urusanku
I supposed you just need to believe in one:) //syam

Have you ever need to make a decision in a very short period? Then if you commit to it you need to change a way of doing and thinking for 360 degree? It's been one year this month since I quit my design manager position. Since then, I had the best quality of life, been doing something that I truly passionate about, working with so many wonderful people and quit my job has been the best decision I ever made.
Now I need to make a decision again. I've been comfortable with this one year experience. Honeymoon was over, I got to pull myself back to reality and it is about time to shoulder a responsibility in order to make an impact. . I am on a crossroads again. Wish me luck..

Quote of the Day:)
Do not pursue what is illusory - property and position: all that is gained at the expense of your nerves decade after decade and can be confiscated in one fell night. Live with a steady superiority over life - don't be afraid of misfortune, and do not yearn after happiness; it is after all, all the same: the bitter doesn't last forever, and the sweet never fills the cup to overflowing - Alexander Solzhenitsyn
LittleSyam Book Binding Workshop 6- Day 1
Hello all...
How was your Saturday? I am occupied with my LittleSyam Book Binding Workshop 6. I love it and am so grateful to be able to meet up with so many wonderful people so far. Different background with the same common passion. I wont be able to tell which workshop is the best.. all are fun in its own way, where I personally feel emotionally connected with each of them in different way. I been teaching and it has become a learning curve to me too. They are amongst the best people I've ever known, genuinely interested to learn the skill.
Some have art and craft background and some with attention to learn a skill as a plus point. I am happy to look at Jan (mother) & Cheryl(daughter).. whereby by attending the workshop they could spend their time together, learning this skill as a mother's day gift from a daughter. How sweet....
I felt touched when learning this skill was like a sentimental value to Pei Chuey as a remembrance of her late father. It gave such a greater meaning to me personally rather than just passing a skill.
I had a wonderful time, everything just perfect even the rain that fell so heavily at the end of class.

What a bless Friday:)
I had such a wonderful week..I am so blessed being surrounded by people that appreciate what I am doing..I am not sure if I believe in miracle but miracle does happen at the upmost time, when I need one... .. Small little thing that consider a real big, good instinct and vibe that never lie.
I did mentioned before that I am attending a jewelry class organised by Emi Kaz. Such a talented and master in his own right. I am attended the soldering class..pheww need lots of practise especially being friend with the flame. He was so patience and full of passion. I had so much respect of what he was doing. Email him should you wanna give yourself a try learning this skill miyaemi@gmail.com. I been learning how to solder a few part into one and been worked with brass and silver. Been introduced to the tools..these are all so new to me..but having a chance to learn a new skill make me appreciate handmade stuff even more.

New Book:)
Photos of my latest creation, requested by client that wanted a photo album that could fit 4R picture with a little space to write. She wanted to incorporate the image of Australia and this album will fill with travel photos while she visited the country. I could always customised the front page but it gonna cost to create a new mould so my suggestion to her is to have nature images. I also included dotted background like an Australia aboriginal art...
I have bind 5 album in total, with another 8 cover options:)

Happy Wednesday
Despite feeling a bit down for loss of Larry...and sleepless night keep thinking of him..I had received a lovely email from Mel, visitor from Christchurch New Zealand at Etsy Market, last Saturday. It was good to hear that familiar tone of slang again. She sent me a photo of my hanging mobile she took. Her kind words is an encouragement... from unexpected person that I met in my life journey...
Thanks Mel, perhaps we could meet again one day when our life might cross at the other side of world.

Rest in Peace My Dear Larry:(
GOOD BYE SWEET LARRY
Like a comet Blazing 'cross the evening sky Gone too soon
Like a rainbow Fading in the twinkling of an eye Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkly And splendidly bright Here one day Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight On a cloudy afternoon Gone too soon
Like a castle Built upon a sandy beach Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower That is just beyond your reach Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight Here one day Gone one night
Like a sunset Dying with the rising of the moon Gone too soon
Browse through his photo, saw my dolltopia kuda on top of his fire place, my christmas present to him last 2 years. |
Now I know...why there are no answer...You kind of knew..that you not going to be around...My heart are so heavy..when I think of it.
Larry..you are my guru, my motivator, my inspiration, my magician..you will deeply missed..I thought we will meet on my next travel to NZ...ohhh Larry I just can't believe that you are gone. May you rest in peace..I'll make sure your legacy continue. I still keeping compilation of poem you sent me, where I always think it sounded so weird. And that made you truly a unique person. You left so much love and had touched so many heart. How I wish you are much stronger to hold your sorrow.
I remembered we had mistaken you for a painter (tukang cat) on the first day you turned up in the class. Larry that I knew was always wearing Hawaiian Shirt , Khakis Pant and Canvas shoes. You brought million colours with your magic show. You always gave me A+...I love seeing you playing piano...your love towards cats..and your craving for sweet food and royal blue was your favourite colour. I still felt the warmth of your last good bye hug while I left NZ for good. Too much memories and I won't forget the book binding skill you passed on to me and your encouragement to continuously spread the skill, even how difficult it is sometimes.
Lots and loads of love///syam
